Living on the Costa Blanca
Do you want to visit, stay, retire, settle, work, buy a house and become an owner, invest or go sightseeing, stay a few days or full-time? Come and discover authentic Spain and live original and unforgettable experiences.
The Costa Blanca
The Costa Blanca is a coastal fringe belonging to the Province of Alicante. It is 200 kilometers long and offers beautiful beaches and landscapes of exceptional beauty, but is also the most mountainous region in Spain.
Its warm and transparent waters, palm trees and natural parks immerse those who visit it, in an authentic paradise.
The name " Costa Blanca " is not surprising, when you see an aerial photo of the coast. In contrast to the deep blue of the Mediterranean stand out large white areas, whether white sand beaches, hills of clear rocks or villages with whitewashed houses. It is therefore not surprising that the name was coined as a slogan, by the airline " British European Airways " in 1957, to promote an air link between London and Valencia.
A dream climate with more than 300 days of sunshine a year and an average annual temperature of 18 ° C, combined with quality tourism, the Costa Blanca is an ideal destination whatever the season.
The Costa Blanca is a land of contrasts, where the mountains meet the sea, cutting the cliffs into dream coves with their clear waters and rich seabed. Here, the beaches of fine, golden sand alternate with rocky coves.
Active tourism on the Costa Blanca
From north to south there are a wide variety of tourist destinations, each with its own charm: Denia, a historical and cultural city, Javea, a small coastal village, Calpe with its impressive rock and lively port, Altea, a haven for artists, Albir, a destination for all tastes, Benidorm the metropolis of leisure and right next to Alicante, the family destinations of Cala Finestrat and El Campello.
Continuing our journey south of the capital, we find Santa Pola, famous for its beautiful beaches and very ancient history, Guardamar del Segura, with its vast pine forests and paradisiacal beaches, Torrevieja and its spectacular landscapes and Pilar de Horadada very close to Murcia, the hottest and driest destination in the province.
Living your dreams
On the Costa Blanca, every trip brings a magical moment. The moment when the traveler feels some kind of revelation can happen at any time in many places.
This can be triggered, on a hiking trail at sunset. Or by feeling the joy of the children playing on one of the 170 beaches and coves that border blue Mediterranean coast. Perhaps on the water crisscrossing the waters in a pleasure boat, or spending his energy to move a kayak or complete the course in one of the 22 golf courses in the province.
Other times, the magic is unexpectedly unleashed in small daily gestures. For example, enjoying a local rice dish or other gastronomic specialties on a terrace on the island of Tabarca, or after swimming in the marine reserve. Sometimes feel the feeling that time has stood still while enjoying an intense wine, which has made the glory of Alicante since Roman times.
This can happen by visiting one of the beautiful historic districts, crowned by stone fortresses that dot the memory and heritage of the different municipalities of the province. Where the Arab heritage, with its historical development has left a lasting imprint in the architecture and urban landscape.
Discovering Elche, its palm grove and its Mystery (Festa d'Elx), both world heritages. Alcoy and Novelda, modernists. Alicante, greeting the sea from the Esplanade. Benidorm, defying the horizon with its legendary silhouette. Orihuela and the majesty of its sacred art. And so on to complete an endless catalog of urban experiences, counterpoint of the nap on the sand or the pleasures of the mountain.
The discovery of the unexpected is always right at the bend of a road on the Costa Blanca. Let yourself go, enjoy the good company and memories forever. Welcome to your destination.
