Costa Blanca & Spanish wine: the new Mediterranean way of life

Living on the Costa Blanca: discovering the best Spanish wines between Alicante and Murcia
Between Alicante and Murcia, a secret destination combines exceptional vineyards, century-old bodegas and the art of living under the Iberian sun.
Costa Blanca & Spanish wine: the new Mediterranean way of life
Imagine yourself, one evening in September, sitting on the terrace of a golden stone finca. At your feet, rows of vines stretch to the purplish horizon. In your glass, a Monastrell as deep as ink, grown just a few kilometres from the sea.
It is this promise - that of a whole life distilled in an instant - that the Costa Blanca holds for those who know how to read it. Because behind the postcard beaches and golden light of the province of Alicante hides one of the most exciting wine terroirs in Europe. A territory that is still confidential, where lovers of great wines and wise investors come together around the same conviction: here, quality of life is priceless. Or almost.
01 — Terroirs
Wine regions near the Costa Blanca
The province of Alicante has two Designations of Origin recognised by the Spanish Regulatory Council: the DO Alicante and the DO Jumilla, straddling Murcia and Castile-La Mancha. Added to this are the wines of DO Yecla and DOP Bullas, which complete a Mediterranean arc of unsuspected richness.
These terroirs share common characteristics: limestone and clay soils, exceptional sunshine (more than 320 days a year), and an emblematic grape variety, Monastrell (Mourvèdre in France), which expresses all its telluric and fruity power here. The varied altitudes — from coastal plains to plateaus at 700 meters — create a unique palette of styles, from delicate rosé to complex red for aging.

04 — Investment
A way of life that turns into an investment
The Costa Blanca has a rare combination: one of the mildest climates in Europe (recommended by the WHO), a mature international infrastructure with Alicante airport serving 70 destinations, and a booming wine scene that is now attracting the attention of the world's trade press.
Property prices, which are still 30 to 40% lower than on the Côte d'Azur for comparable services, attract a premium clientele in search of optimal value for money. Buying a villa with views of the vineyards between Altea and Calpe means investing in a lifestyle that increases in value every year.
05 — Real Estate
Between the hills of the Marina Alta, the plains of Jumilla and the Alicantín coastline lies an exceptional real estate geography, where each property tells a story.
