The city of Ciudad Quesada
Ciudad Quesada, is located in the south of the Costa Blanca, near the town of Rojales, in the province of Alicante. It is a residential urbanization located near the beaches of Guardamar del Segura. Located on a natural hill, it is organized around a golf course. Its horizons are lost to the south on the Mediterranean and the Natural Park of the Salt Marshes of Torrevieja.
Its history is unusual, since the city did not exist until 1970. Its existence is due to a Spanish entrepreneur, Justo Quesada Samper, who decided to urbanize agricultural land and launch the development of a residential tourism model with the macro " urbanización Ciudad Quesada ", in order to realize his childhood dream: build a holiday town.

Justo Quesada's activity began in 1972 when he acquired thousands of hectares of land south of the municipality of Rojales. There he began the construction of what would become the urbanization Ciudad Quesada. A unique project in all of Spain, because built both around a golf course, in Rojales from the name of Quesada Golf Club renamed in La Marquesa golf and country club and an airfield.
Justo Quesada, who died in 2010, was one of the pioneer real estate developers in the Valencian community, when the sector began to emerge. Among other numerous awards for his long career as a businessman, he has received the following awards : " Turismo Costa Blanca " in 1991, " Jaguar " for the best Spanish developer in 1999 and the prize of the Alicante Chamber of Commerce the " Prestige Rating Book ". At present, he has delegated the management of his businesses to his five children all engaged in real estate development, but its name will forever remain at the forefront of tourism and real estate development in Spain.
Today, justo Quesada's dream has finally come true, one of the most important real estate developments in Spain, with nearly 30 000 houses in the heart of the Costa Blanca. The urbanization consisting of a variety of elegant residences, apartments and luxury villas in their majority, has grown so much that finally it has become a real Spanish city since it has its own town hall.

With 20,510 inhabitants (INE 2009) most of whom reside in Ciudad Quesada (11,513 inhabitants in Rojales) it is the second Spanish municipality with the highest percentage of foreigners, they represent 71.75% of the registered population.
Ciudad Quesada is a charming retreat, located in a pleasant and relaxing environment for lovers of golf and the Mediterranean sun. The village has become over the years, a very popular place for many foreigners of different nationalities. They come here to invest in real estate and make a good investment, others to live all year round or to spend holidays, many to do tourism, and all come to enjoy the assets of this region, influenced by the salt marshes and the Mediterranean, it enjoys an extremely healthy climate, with an average annual temperature of 20º C. The seaside resort also has many shops, bars and restaurants that allow you to enjoy international gastronomy and a high quality of services, banks, medical center, college, optician, spa, supermarket, gas station and a large Irish pub.
The aquapark is suitable for families with small children. For walkers, the Salt Marshes Nature Park, one of the largest in Europe, invites you to discover through its interesting itineraries. Others will be able to entertain themselves with the Mediterranean, just four kilometres away. The beaches are varied, some wild with dunes of palm trees or pines, others long stretches of golden sand. The nearest blue flag beaches are in Guardamar del Segura, La Mata and Torrevieja.
Not far from there in Rojales, the town is famous for its beautiful cave houses, located in the hills south of the city. You can visit the " Casa de las Conchas", one of the best kept tourist secrets in the area. For many years, the owner, Manuel Fulleda Alcaraz, has decorated his house with shell patterns, tiles and mirrors, quite spectacular to see. Another tourist attraction, a visit to the " Cuevas del Rodeo ", troglodyte houses were built on the hillside in the 19th century. Other points of interest in Rojales:
